On the 8th of September, Philakade received a generous donation of 43 trees and shrubs from the Buds Garden Group and the Green Friends Garden Group. This wonderful initiative was spearheaded by Betsy Kee, with the invaluable support of her husband, Anthony, from Everton Conservancy. Planting was made even more successful thanks to the active involvement of Patricia Avery and Frederike Macquet, who lent their hands to assist alongside the dedicated efforts of Thobani Luthuli, Josh Maunganidze, and Smart Elias.
