In April we were fortunate enough to receive the donation of a second hand paediatric standing frame, whose previous owner has outgrown it. Here you can see one of our new residents (who happened to be tall enough without adjustments) enjoying the experience and support. In December, Christmas cheer was had by all. A jolly Santa came to visit during our Christmas party and gifts and treats were joyfully received by all. We have had a very fun and busy November! We had the 5th anniversary of Opening Philakade on the 4th November. We celebrated with sports day and a braai. There were medals, trophies and certificates for all the amazing athletes. Some even participated in an eating race! All the staff attended a Carer Fatigue Workshop…

Soccer fever! 11 lucky residents went to Moses Mabida Stadium to watch Kaizer Chiefs against Amazulu. Kaizer Chiefs won and a fun evening was had by all. KFC was also a great treat for supper. We had a Science teacher come and show us some Science experiments. We saw how water will naturally make a spiral / whirlpool if left with no motion.
